Christian Education

gr5_7smallChristian education is a vital part of the ministry of our church. Classes are available for preschoolers through adults.

      Classes are held on Sunday morning during the worship service from September through June. Children leave for class after the Children’s sermon.

      The following classes are offered:

      Pre-K through Kindergarten.

      First through Fourth Grades.

      Fifth through Seventh Grades.

      Eighth through Twelfth Grades (2nd & 3rd Sundays of every month, starting at 10am).

       Nursery care is available for babies and toddlers under the supervision of Miss Abby and Miss Kameron, and adult volunteers. Care is available from 9:45 to 11:15 AM (September through May) and from 9:15 to 10:45 AM (summer).
       
      Milestones: Connecting Faith and Home: 
      Classes specially designed for our children and their families! 
      • Time: After church on Sunday (11:30am)
      • Length: 1 hour for each meeting.
      • Place: Youth Room
      • Lunch: Provided
      • Childcare: Provided (for children in age group other than scheduled class) 

      Dates and Lessons for 2019

      January 27th: PreK-Kindergarten: Music

      • In Class: Sing and learn motions to Bible songs.
      • At Home: Take home song sheets for families to sing together at home.
      • In Church: Class sings a song during worship.

      February 24th: 1st-3rd Grades: Baptism:

      • In Class: Teach children and parents how to read and use the Bible. Learn about the great stories of the Bible.
      • At Home: Worksheet for families to read the Bible together at home.
      • In Church: 3rd Graders receive Bibles; Parents and children read Bible passage together during worship.

      March 31st:4th-7th Grades: Stewardship and Service

      • In Class: Learn different parts of worship; participate in a class worship service.
      • At Home: Take home worksheet about “worshipping” outside of church.
      • In Church: Give children the opportunity to participate in a part of worship service.
