OUR MINISTRY TEAMS
WHAT IS A MINISTRY TEAM? A ministry team is a group of people who have an interest in working in a certain area of our congregation’s life. Ministry teams are led by an elder who is currently on the Session (our congregation’s ruling board), but the work of ministry is done by the whole group. You do not need to be an elected officer to serve. We used to call them committees, but changed the name because these groups don’t just discuss and produce reports, but actively engage in ministry.
WHAT DO MINISTRY TEAMS DO? Ministry teams meet regularly to pray, study, plan, and work in one of the areas of ministry listed below.
CARE – prays for and and provides support for members with visits, cards, phone calls, food, and friendship as needed.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION – plans and coordinates the Christian education activities for all ages.
EVANGELISM - seeks to share the good news of what God is doing in and through our congregation with those in need of a church home.
MUSIC & WORSHIP – plans for our worship together, helping coordinate Word, Sacrament, and music in joyful praise of God.
OUTREACH & MISSION INTERPRETATION – actively reaches out to meet human need locally and globally. See Our Outreach for details of some of our outreach projects.
STEWARDSHIP – educates the congregation on the joy of giving of ourselves (time, talent & treasure) for God’s work in our lives and in the world.
Our ministry teams are always looking for new members.
Is God calling you to actively engage in ministry through one of these teams? Just contact the church office at 547-6139 for more information.
“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God,serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”[1 Peter 4:10]
